Choose how much detail to share
You do not need to give your full name, address or workplace to be listened to. You can say “a family member” rather than a name, “at work” rather than the company name, or describe a period without an exact date. These are options, not a test.
No account does not mean no risk
Even without a name, a combination of details may identify someone. Avoid sharing passwords, sign-in codes, bank details, medical records or identifying information about others. Do not copy a listening conversation into a contact, partnership or financial support form.
The conversation setting
Listening involves a human conversation. The service offers no recording, transcription, AI analysis, chat export or chat attachments. This does not guarantee that no traces exist on a shared device or with a third party. You may ask for the setting to be explained and decline to answer a question.
An additional person
An authorized supervisor or administrator may join a session to observe and intervene when needed, without asking for additional consent. Their presence and role are announced in the conversation. In audio sessions, their microphone is off when they arrive; they may switch it on to speak. In text chat, their contributions are labelled as supervision messages. You may ask for an explanation or end the conversation. This permission does not give every team member access to every conversation.
Ending and getting technical help
Use the end control when you wish to stop. After closure, messages are no longer accessible in the conversation space. To report a technical problem, describe the screen, control and error message without copying the conversation. Read the privacy notice for information about technical data.
Talking about yourself without sharing everything
